Abstract: I maintain that IU (née Lee Ji Eun i.e. 이지은) is a saint. I do this as a way of discussing what a saint is: someone who wills our happiness and goodness from a place of power.

Abstract: This is the start of a series on how art functions, both in an individual and in societies of various scales. What I want to dispatch first is the question of whether Art—a means of communicating deep, complicated, yet clarified distillations of specific experiences—is possible at all. The answer is, unsurprisingly, "yes." Because, as special as you are, so is everyone else.
